COMPANY DESCRIPTION; US FABRICATION & DESIGN
Mark Perry, an owner of 49% of Summit in May 2009, decided to take the offer to purchase USF without his current partner at Summit. Instead he chose to partner with Mr. Robert Provow who had previously worked at USF for 7 years. Mark Perry owns 75% and Robert Provow 25%. US Fabrication & Design is a combination of the two primary services of the Summit Technology Group LLC and US Fabrication Inc. That is, engineering and design and metal fabrication. The company is entitled to the customer base of both companies but offers more appeal to those customers as they can now purchase engineering, design, detailing and fabrication all from one source. Whereas, previously, the work was either sub-contracted by either company or simply not purchased.
While still serving the automotive manufacturing systems market, both companies have diversified over the past few years due to changes in the market. Markets targeted include non-automotive conveyor systems, aerospace and aeronautical, battery plants, alternative energy plants, utility companies, military contractors, heat treating systems, packaging, and computer recycling. Many of these are emerging markets with which the company has already engaged.
